A Family Story
The Poulherbet farmstead, located in Plougonvelin in the heart of the Pays d'Iroise, is a place that has been passed down through generations in my family.
These old buildings, shaped by time and agricultural use, represent a precious heritage, deeply connected to the history of the hamlet and the people who once lived here.
Breathing new life into the place
In 2017, after rediscovering this traditional farm in the region where I grew up, Dominique and I decided to bring it back to life.
Our intention was clear: to restore without erasing, to preserve the soul of the place while adapting it to a new way of welcoming guests.
This is how the farm became La Grange Neuve, a symbol of balance between memory, transmission and renewal.
The Birth of La Grange
Built in 1936, La Grange was an integral part of everyday farming life in the hamlet.
The upper floor was used to store harvested crops, while the ground floor served to prepare food for the animals.
Its renovation marked the first step of our project.
Carried out with care and respect for the original structure, it transformed the former barn into a charming holiday cottage, comfortable and welcoming, while preserving its original character.
Le Jardin de l'Écurie
Dating back to 1814, according to family archives, this building originally housed the village bread oven before later being used as a shelter for the horses.
Already transformed in the past, it required a new chapter to regain coherence and meaning.
Completed in 2022, its renovation gave birth to Le Jardin de l'Écurie, a second cottage opening onto the garden and natural light, designed in a calm, nature‑inspired spirit, faithful to the history of the place.
Preserving the Past, Living in the Present
At La Grange Neuve, every stone tells a story.
Our commitment is simple: to preserve this family heritage, keep it alive today, and share it with those seeking a place that is sincere, peaceful and deeply lived‑in.
A place passed down, restored and open, between land and sea, in the heart of the Pays d'Iroise.
