A hamlet, a house, a story
La Grange Neuve was born in a small hamlet of Plougonvelin, very close to the sea. Here, the houses have stood the test of time, seasons, and families. Ours is one of them: a former outbuilding, a bread oven, a stable, thick walls that have witnessed generations come and go.
For a long time, the place lived simply, in rhythm with the countryside and the coastline. Then came the desire to give it a new life, without altering its character.
Restore without erasing
The renovation was carried out gently and respectfully. Preserving what could be saved, lightening what needed to be, letting in more light, preserving the soul of the place. The terracotta tiles, the original volumes, and the original materials were retained as much as possible. The rest was designed to be bright, simple, and easy to live in.
Two guesthouses were created from this transformation:
- La Grange , an open and bright house,
- The Stable Garden , a gentle house facing the garden.
Two different atmospheres, one same spirit
A place to welcome
The idea wasn't to create accommodations "like anywhere else," but to share a place that matters. A place where you feel good, where you slow down, where you live to the rhythm of the wind, the sea, the garden. A simple, genuine place that doesn't try to impress.
Today, La Grange Neuve welcomes travelers who come:
- walking on the GR34 ,
- discover the beaches ,
- visit the lighthouses ,
- enjoy the peace and quiet.
- or simply to meet up.
A place that lives and changes with the seasons
In spring, the garden awakens. In summer, we live outdoors. In autumn, the light becomes more golden. In winter, there is profound calm.
Each season reveals a different facet of the place.
A story that continues
La Grange Neuve is not a static project. It is a place that evolves, adapts, and is enriched by the people who pass through it. A place that is carefully maintained, like a family home.
